Beoplay H95
I got the Beoplay H95 a few days ago for a few thousand Krone less than in most stores. After setting an EQ that makes the sound extremely engaging to me, aswell as adjusting to them, I feel like I can give my take on them
First off all - this is a status/style/brand significance>function product, obviously. However, they are almost perfect for casual consumers (as ironic as that is at this price range and with everything stated above) but I did not buy them to be admired, but I do love the look of the beige and gold colorway. Trivia about the gold colorway: it can look bronze in person depending on the time of day
Sound quality is a 9/10 for casual consumers, but I don't think audiophiles will like it, though I am not an audiophile and just want to have fun with my music, so I honestly prefer these over the Focal Bathys that I returned due to some dealbreakers with things other than sound quality (intense sound leakage at immersive volumes and noticable buffering while walking completely normally with a proper fit)
ANC is honestly quite good, about a 7.5/10 or 8/10
Build quality is the easiest 10/10 for Bang & Olufsen products (of which this is the only one I own) they value luxury and craftsmanship over function to a very high standard, not too much to the detriment of function atleast, and I think they handcraft their products (as far as I know, could be wrong) so obviously, with this being paramount, it will be its strongest aspect
Design/look is an 8.5/10 or a somewhat generous 9/10 in the gold colorway for my taste. In other colorways I think they look either boring or strange, maybe even bad, ranging from 6/10 to 7/10 in other colorways. Black is the least offensive of the other available colorways and i'd give it a 7.5/10, but these headphones are just meant for the beige and gold colorway
Controls are an 8.5/10. Very intuitive but I don't want to oversell it
Comfort went from an 8.5/10 to a 7/10 over time. My ears currently ache while typing this
Fit is a 7.5/10 on my head atleast. Gets cumbersome to adjust for a good seal while walking
Sound leakage is an 8.5/10, maybe another generous 9/10. I can turn the volume to max (bad habit that i'm getting better at) and my family can barely if at all hear it in a quiet room while standing or sitting quite close to me
Value is a 6/10, I don't need to explain lol
Overall solid 8/10 product. Brings flair to outfits and sounds excellent with the right EQ and time to adjust, but you have to really value aesthetics and public perception to truly adore these. I do like them alot and honestly prefer them over the Bathys (mostly due to not having significant issues like the ones the Bathys had, but I also just prefer the more exciting sound of the H95) but you cannot possibly justify the price outside of luxury and build
