Between Wave and Shore

Poem

Where wave leans softly into shore,
foam gently arches in silver hush,
sand softly shimmering with tide’s gentle lean,
the shoreline exhaling in quiet rhythm with the foam’s soft sway
each nearness a tender breath,
each easing a quiet whisper,
the tide keeping its welcome as waters lean and ease.

The shoreline curves in quiet contour, flowing in gentle accord,
Foam leans gently,
then exhales into calm expanse.
Shore and tide flow in gentle cadence,
a rhythm shared in quiet ease.
Currents lean in tender flow,
within widewater’s quiet keeping,
without measure
the sea breathes wide,
leaning in, then easing in moonlit hush.

As the foam leans inward toward the shore,
tender shimmer resting upon sand,
each nearness a tender meeting,
each easing a gentle exhale,
kept in tender flow within widewater’s rhythm,
wave and shore keeping their welcome
in gentle circles of ebb and flow.

As waters lean toward the shore,
the tide whispers in tidewater hush:
silver shimmer leans inward,
tide exhales seaward,
currents keep rhythm within widewater’s embrace.
The waters lean and ease in turn,
widewater’s welcome gently kept in ebb and flow.
