Contax TVS Flash

I just realized i've been using the contax tvs at 28mm P Mode/AF but using Fill-in flash mode instead of Flash auto with Kodak Gold 200. The environment is at night and outdoors with only warm white string lights and only taking photos of people.. it's usually close subjects tho, did i mess up my settings by only using a fill in flash? will i get underexposed subjects? thanks
