At the west of great desert, between Tengu's Vault, Heft, Stoat & Heng, lies Eastern Light.
Name - light comes from the city being visible from most of the spots in the region. The overwhelming surplus of energy, created a new type of economy, one where you can sell the unnecessary power to neighboring cities.
United cities are in good relationships with our ruler, since, most of the cheap cactus, comes from our brewers and yet, little do they know, that the word light in it's name, has another meaning.
You see, all of this economy, millions of cats, are to buy out slaves. Buy them out, and then the next day - grant them absolute freedom. Those who wish to join their families are free to do so and those who wish to start new life at our city, are most welcome.
More than that, we pretend to support their fight against anti-slavers, but in the meantime, caravans, full of medical supplies, food cubes, clean fabrics and electrical parts are being send to the anti-slavers.
The list of alliances doesn't stop there, mercenary guild is our ally as well, as Shinoby thieves and most importantly, local outlaws and rebels. We support them in secret too, with regular deliveries of cats, food and weapons.
Changing the landscape and culture not through brutal shier force, but through diplomacy, finances and bit of bribes...
