What's the deal with using AI to code in a ML job?
I'm Trying to get a ML position but am unfamiliar with standard business practices when it comes to using AI to write code
I have 7 years personal experience with 1 year in a small tech firm - I don't know if I'm a vibe coder because I do know what I'm looking at, debugging isn't a problem at all.. usually I can get what I need after 1-2 trys with minor modifications.
I worry because I haven't actually typed code in a long time, I'd probably struggle to remember syntax of some of basic functions, AI is just efficient for the boilerplate code. That being said, I don't think I've worked any anything big either.
What do you think? Do I need to start writing more code instead of using AI?
