My son is 11 and autistic. Over the years he's gotten into the tub without me knowing. I give him baths but he tends to stay awake over a day, a day and a half and im not able to function off little sleep because I will fall asleep during the day. And i have accidentally fallen asleep trying to get him to sleep at night. I have a condition that makes me really tired. Not narcolepsy but I just get easily get more tired than the average person but cant still function. Anyway, my son tends to turn the water to as hot as possible and I always have to fight with him to keep it down, to this day. I mentioned his legs to his dermatologist, his primary, and his neurologist. But the only one who said anything was primary and that it just looks flushed and kids get that sometimes and if anything changes, to let her know. Hes had this on his legs for 2 years. And its bothering me that this could affect him later on in life. What do I do next if no one listens? It may not look like a big deal but my concern is what it could turn into if it needs treated. I now have to run water constantly to make sure the hot water is mostly gone so he doesnt get burnt. Im the only one raising both of my kids and they both have severe autism. My landlord wont do anything to help prevent burns. Im at a loss. 

Should I press the issue of his legs to the doctor?
