Skittish community

Hey so I’m wondering if it’s just me or if our community is extra skittish? The number of times I start a conversation and they vanish after like an hour of chatting or extending an invite to get coffee. This also happens when someone else reaches out and even invites me to chat through messaging or text. For a long time I’ve wondered if it’s me and tried to make sure I’m not clingy, over sharing and not being too distant. But regularly the conversation just dies. I’ve made it a firm rule that I dont chase people. Happy to start the conversation. Happy to keep it going. Happy to try to get real conversations going and even ask given a respectful amount of time can we meet. But if I notice the conversation only happens if I speak or if I’m left on read I’ll just wait.
