how do you crackdown on misinfo?

If Dems were to win control of the country again at some point, obviously the dogshit media environment needs to be a priority, but how?

I think ai content needs to be drastically regulated for obvious reasons, but what do we do about alt media? What about X? Who even determines what misinfo is? What would the enforcement mechanism for this even look like? Or the punishment? And how can you regulate it without chilling good faith breaking news journalists who might accidentally get certain stories wrong?
