How can y’all stand this?

I’m 32 years old, I can’t even remotely imagine what it’s like to be a child that is passionate about this hobby today.

I collected as a kid, didn’t for forever, and now I’m about to have my very first kid of my own. Which got me in my nostalgia-feels getting back into everything I loved as a kid.

Evidently I have impeccably terrible timing as it seems like it’s worse than ever to remotely even try to get back into this hobby.

I’ve managed to in the last 3 months or so get, and I’m not even joking, a single booster pack from a vending machine. Meanwhile, Walmart, target, any other vendors are 100% cleared out of product.

How in the hell do any of y’all stand for this crap?

I can’t even get on the pokemon center website when they restock because of all the bots that swarm it when they drop something new and clear them out as well.

This is absolute insanity, and quite honestly disgusts me.

I really don’t understand why people tolerate seeing people scalp deliberately in front of them, not even remotely trying to intervene or interact only recording them and posting them online as though that is even doing anything given the behavior continues.

Something has to change with the state of this product, Pokemon company has been getting clearly paid out on routine schedule for any new drop yet meanwhile doesn’t care to put any of that revenue into applying any legitimate protections to further make product dispersal among all collectors?

That’s the end of my rant, just absolutely beside myself that we live in a day and age where full ass grown adults are quite literally profiting off the metaphorical “stealing candy from a baby.”
