Did I misread the signs?

Hey folks. 26m, fit, am told I’m good looking all the time but don’t believe it. So now story time

I started talking to a girl I met up with years ago and we went on a few dates, made out a time or two, but we both just went our separate ways, never really went anywhere.

We’ve been talking nonstop for a few days about life, the sky, anything. And she’s mentioned a few times how we left things and everything we did. Once thing we debate on is if we made out or not. I 100% know we did and vividly remember it. She’s brought it up playfully a couple times and we have fun with it and I’ve been saying “I’ll have to refresh your memory”. She’s also been saying a lot how she wished she never missed her chance years ago and her she really “wants”me in the biblical sense.

Last night we finally met up and went for a late night walk, basically covered the city. She brought it up again playfully teasing that I have to be wrong and I was going to make a move but it wasn’t the right time. A little while she brought it again, and we went back and fourth and I told her I’d refresh her memory. I went to grab her by the waist and pull her in, and she half ran back a few steps saying no no no.

Didn’t really give any reason. I tried to brush it off and we kept walking for about another hour and then I drove her home. I’ve never been rejected on a move like that, all the signs were there, weren’t they? It’s a hard thing to recover from
