**Dhavit, Fiona Wachter’s weary cook, is more than just a servant.** A quiet man who spends his days in the kitchens of Wachterhaus, he moves through the house unseen, overhearing whispers and secrets meant only for Lady Wachter and her conspirators. Though a commoner with little power, Dhavit can become a subtle but crucial thread in the campaign: he may feed the adventurers information about the Wachter cult, slip them warnings before ambushes, or even provide access to hidden areas of the house.

By giving Dhavit a voice and a little courage, he transforms from background flavor into a pivotal contact — a man whose small acts of rebellion ripple outward, shaping how the heroes confront Barovia’s schemes.

**Dimira Yolensky** – A young woman of Krezk, heavily pregnant and quietly anxious about her child’s fate. In Barovia, births are rare and feared, and whispers follow Dimira wherever she goes — some pray her baby will bring hope, others dread that it will be born soulless like so many before.

**Grygori Strum** – The humble (if slightly boastful) blacksmith of Krezk. He mostly repairs nails, horseshoes, and battered armor, but claims heritage from a master smith ancestor. His pride exceeds his skill, and he guards stories of his grandfather’s legendary craftsmanship. For Grygori, every dent he fixes or blade he sharpens is a chance to live up to a legacy he can never truly match.

**Kretyana Dolvof** – The midwife of Krezk, a stern but compassionate woman who has delivered nearly every child in the village. In a land where so many are born soulless, Kretyana carries both hope and dread with each birth she oversees. Villagers trust her hands, yet whisper that she knows too much about the dark fates awaiting Barovia’s children.

**Udo Lukovich** – A humble shoemaker of Vallaki, now reduced to a gaunt prisoner in Baron Vallakovich’s mansion. Once known for his steady hands and honest work, Udo was jailed for speaking out against the Baron’s cruelty. Malnourished and beaten, he clings to scraps of hope. Freeing him not only restores a craftsman to his trade but also shows the people of Vallaki that injustice can be challenged.
