Plug in one of our 2015 to 2023 Ford Mustang DIY remote starter kits in a matter of minutes, and you will be able to preheat, defrost, or cool down your Mustang's interior the next morning without even stepping outside. Get a head start every winter by warming up the engine, defrosting the windshield, and getting the chill out of the interior. And in the summer, cool down the interior on those hot afternoons after it's been sitting in the sun for hours.

# 1 Plug into your Mustang + Turn Ignition ON & OFF = DONE!

**Remote Start System Features**

* **Ford Smart Key Keyless Entry Activation:** Activated by pressing LOCK 3 times on your Ford keyless entry remote.
* **Automatic HEAT/AC Activation:** Just leave your climate control settings on where you want them when parking the vehicle, and the system will automatically turn them on shortly after you activate the remote starter.
* **15-Minute Remote Start Run Time:** The system will automatically shut down after 15 minutes.
* **Active Remote Shut-Down:** Change of plans and you're not leaving yet? You don't have to keep the vehicle running; you can cancel the remote starter sooner the same way you activated it.
* **Active Key-Takeover:** The engine will not shut down when the driver's door is opened, so you won't have to restart the vehicle with the key every time after you remote start it.
* **Internationally Known DEI/Viper™ Brand of Remote Starter System**: Lift any doubts about generic Chinese clones, off-brand, and rebranded systems that may cause quality, performance, and compatibility concerns. MotorCityAutobahn only provides components made by industry-leading manufacturers of automotive electronics in the USA and Canada. The Directed Electronics (DEI) brand of systems are the most preferred among professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike for their quality, compatibility, and ease of installation. You can find the DEI/Viper brand on the shelves of the majority of automotive accessory shops all across the USA & Canada.

**Remote Starter Safety & Security Features**

* **Brake Pedal Monitoring:** The steering column remains locked, and if you step on the brake pedal before the ignition is turned on using a smart key, the remote starter will immediately shut down.
* **Open Hood Detection:** The vehicle cannot be remote started with the vehicle's hood open, and the engine will immediately shut down if the hood is opened while the vehicle is running by the remote starter. Your Mustang must be equipped with a factory-installed hood pin switch to enable this feature and for the remote starter to activate. This system will not work on Mustangs without a factory-installed hood-pin switch: **► HOOD-PIN TECH TIP**: The majority of 2015 to 2017 Mustangs are equipped with factory-installed hood pin switches. Ford specs indicate that all 2018 and up have one (and we haven't seen one yet without one either.) To double-check your specific Mustang, just pop the hood and turn the ignition on; when equipped, the dash display will indicate that the hood is open.
* **Vehicle Status Monitoring:** This system has the exact same safety inhibit features as a Ford factory-installed remote start system. The system will not activate if the remote start setting in the vehicle's dash display menu is off, the check engine light is on, any existing codes remain in the vehicle's ECM memory (without the check engine light on), the low fuel light is on, or the transmission is not in park, and if the battery voltage is too low.
* **Fail-Safe Design:** In the rare event of a component failure, the system cannot prevent you from starting your vehicle normally with the keys.
* **Retained Memory Eeprom**: The system will not need to be unplugged and reset after the vehicle has been serviced or the battery replaced. It remains working.
