We never thought the dare jar would end up being more than a silly party game. It was supposed to be harmless, a glass jar stuffed with scraps of paper where we wrote down dares that were meant to make us laugh, blush, giggle, or maybe take one too many shots. The kind of thing you teased your friends about but never actually expected anyone to follow through on.

When we moved into our flat together we were strictly just friends. Both of us dated other people, some successfully, most crashing and burning. But it never bothered either of us too much, we always had each other to joke around with and keep each other company. The rules of our dare jar were simple; we'd each write multiple, ridiculous dares throughout the week, and then we'd sit down, get some drinks, and read through them together;

"Give a lap dance to your roommate"
"Let me go on a date with your cousin"
"Tongue wrestle the person sat next to you"
"Hand over your phone and let me organise your next tinder date".
Stupid, silly little dares. Just meant for fun. Not followed through with 99% of the time.

But tonight it feels different. The music is low, the wine has us both a little too warm, were both home from 2 terrible dates,and there’s this restless, charged energy in the air that makes me wonder if the rules have changed.
“Your turn, George,” you say, voice smooth and teasing as they push the jar toward me.

My hand hovers over the rim, fingers brushing the folded slips inside. My chest feels tight, every breath slow and shallow as if the whole room is holding it with me. A laugh escapes me, shaky and half-nervous, half-excited, because I can feel the way you're watching. Tonight feels different, it feels like we might actually go through with these dares?

And the truth is… I kind of want to.

Hiya everyone! If you've made it this far, thanks for reading my post! I'm new to this sort of writing/RP but thought this could be a fun idea to chat to people about!

The story could go any way! Obviously it would involve us both taking turns pulling dares out of the jar, and then acting them out on each other. I really like the idea of 2 platonic friends getting a bit tipsy and silly and moving their relationship to a new level. The dares could be anything! My only limits are scat, blood, incest, non-con, and feet.

Feel free to respond if you'd like to explore the idea! Have a lovely day 🩷
