How to attract more of the partners suited to your desires if you usually attract the opposite (D/s?)

This is a little complicated/dumb question but I’ll do my best. Basically I’m a submissive, and I can lean bratty (with consent.) The problem is I find is that I tend to attract submissive men or those who lean sub. Being dominant doesn’t do anything for me, and I find it odd that I keep attracting or getting men like this even when I’m actively trying to choose the opposite.

They are also often bisexual or just DL gay (nothing wrong with that but I’ve found men who are specifically trying to obscure their interest in other men are attracted to me.) They’ll say or list that they’re dominant only but then the submissive comes out. I’ve even had a “yes sir” slip said to me when I brattily put my hand on a guys throat. 💀

Has anyone else dealt with this? Do I just have tomboy energy or something? I’m not really one to believe in being “too much in your masculine,” or vice versa, but maybe there’s something to that. Trying to figure out why this keeps happening even when I match with people I’m specifically trying to find the opposite in.
