Addressing an idle curiosity

I've noticed, because I've been on Tumblr for over a decade, that many of us are poly, myself included.

I'm just curious, why is that? Is it a validation thing? A "shiny rock" thing?

For me, it's a "meeting needs, returning love" thing.
