Is homestuck a weird, gay depressing show/comic/webgame/novel/etc???

Obviously I have no idea what homestuck is about, I know of it's existence thanks to tumblr, twitter and a bunch of lesbian and furries but I never got around cause I was too busy being depress with undertale. But now that I'm getting old I may never get the chance to know about it, and honestly this days I only stick with weird gay happy stuff instead of being edgy who's negative all the time. So most of my concern is if it's depressing, the pilot doesn't seem like it that's why I'm asking incase that if it does I can just avoid which arc or area to look out for
