Moonphase watch ideas to gift my amazing wife?

Hello all,

I was bitten by the watch “hobby” bug a few months ago, and the disease has progressed since. I now own a Farer Bailly (the moonphase w/ green aventurine dial) a Christopher Ward C9 Harrison LE, a Brew Metric, a Nomos Tangente Update 41 Neomatik and a Vaer A5 Tactical Field (the watch that started it all). Safe to say that my condition is critical.

I have been lurking here, and it feels like the watches that most interest me are the microbrands.

My beloved wife has been totally supportive (as usual) and maybe I’m imagining it, but she seems to be at least a little intrigued at the beauty and utility of watches, especially the moonphase complication.

We met just two years ago, and fell in love instantly. She was pregnant before we had been together for three months , and about 11 months ago, she gave birth to my daughter, and I feel so lucky and blessed and grateful

Which leads to my question: I feel like it’s time I bought her a watch. Looking for a watch with a great moon phase complication. Something gorgeous that she will cherish. Shopping in the $2000 and under range, although if there is something amazing for less, that’s fine. It doesn’t have to be a women’s watch. By the way, she is 5’4” and slim.

As I write this, I’m thinking that in an ideal world, it would be something that she could wear all the time. That can get spattered in baby food (or worse) and is robust enough to stand up to the life of a busy mom with a baby.

Having said that, I could go either way. I just want something beautiful for my beautiful partner.

Would love to see what you guys come up with, and I am ready to pull the trigger…
