R4R subreddits are prime opportunities for scammers
Just a warning to everyone who’s lonely and looking for someone (mostly guys but this affects everyone), be very wary about using subreddits like virginR4R etc.
Made a post on there and got a response, after chatting for a little bit it became apparent it was an Indian scammer. Unfortunately I had already sent a photo of myself but luckily no real revealing information.
Just be very careful out there. It’s absolutely disgusting that there is scum out there preying on desperate guys, trying to steal their money, not to mention it’s emotionally exhausting.
NEVER send anyone any money for a hotel room etc. Meet up in person first, then go and get a hotel room together. Ideally do a video call before meeting, so it’s obvious you’re both real. Anyone who refuses this is IMO suspicious and not worth it.
As for me I’m going back to traditional dating apps/real life. Sure, my success has been incredibly low there but at least I’m safe and confident.
