Possible bacterial infection on heel

Hi I’m (26M) just had my heel scratched up from wearing my shoe wrong the other day.

I didn’t think much of it until it started becoming very red and swollen.

Now it seems like there’s almost like a streak of redness that is spreading to the side of my foot.

I’ve scheduled an appointment with my doctor but he won’t be able to meet till two days after today. Is there anything I should do meanwhile?
