Should I join my mum and become a nudist?

Background As the title says my mums become a nudist. I’m not, nor was I raised a nudist but she said before I was born she was and so was most of her side of the family. So once I moved slightly away for uni she said my auntie encouraged her to try it again. With the house to her self it seems like she did. She was originally getting dressed for my visits home but I did a surprise drop in for her birthday and was shocked to see her in her bday suit. That’s when she explained to me she was a nudist. We then had a long discussion about it where she even asked if I’d want to try it out? I asked for some time to think and left.

I’ve never thought about being a nudist before so I’m looking for some guidance, advice or help. We live in the UK so I don’t even really understand how you can be a nudist with weather like this. I’m not that comfortable in my own skin right now but I’ve read nudism can help. I’ve gone skinny dipping with friends before and been naked in a nearby field on the hottest day of summer with an ex but that’s the closest I’ve ever gotten. But she seems to be happy living like this. Is nudism like an all or nothing type thing, like if I start will I have to go to events to or could I just do it by myself?
