Setup for king salmon

Good morning, I always see a lot of people behind my work fishing the small river that leads into the bay. Talked to some people and they said it's a bunch of king salmon this time of year and they are fishing with bobbers and salmon roe sacs.

I haven't fished since I was young and was curious what a decent rod and reel setup would be? What kind of line and hook etc , thank you.
