Are Pakistanis really that frustrated?

I saw a post here yesterday about how WhatsApp recommends adult content channels to a lot of people, and that Meta is just ‘filth.’ Some even suggested migrating to Signal. Others wanted the FIA to step in.

I found those claims a bit odd, because I’ve lived in several countries and never once came across adult channels on WhatsApp.

So I tested it out by changing my region to Pakistan (you can do this by tapping the three horizontal lines in the top right corner), and suddenly I mostly see adult channels. I also switched to India, Peru, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Italy… and none of those regions showed adult content recommendations.

So maybe that’s just what ‘most’ people in Pakistan are into?”

Reminds me of an incident years ago when someone opened YouTube on their laptop, and all the recommendations were, ‘se*y bhabhi doing xyz.’ Then he asked me if I had used his computer? Sure

Internationally, Pakistanis have a reputation of being s*xually frustrated and it used to irritate me when I had to defend Pakistan in front of my peers. But could it just be …true?
