I took the quiz and was surprised
I took the quiz that gets posted often and I talked my mother into taking it also.
She got theological profile of "moderately conservative, moderately low church, non-denominational" in the lower right quadrant, but relatively close to the middle. Her top were Non-denom Evangelical 61%, Pentecostal (e.g. Assemblies of God) 49%, Conservative Christian General 49%, and Reformed Baptist 43%. The heresy score was 3.
I got almost smack dab in the middle of the chart, but if you look close enough you can see it is slightly in the top right quadrant. My theological profile was "Lutheran" with Confessional Lutheran 56%, Moravian 44%, Conservative Christianity General 44%, and Waldensian 43%. The heresy score was 0.
I thought surely I would score much closer to high church because I've always preferred a structured liturgy over the worship style of the church we currently go to. I mostly got to a former SBC church (they changed their name to remove "Baptist" at the minimum) with my family basically because they have a kids' ministry for the little ones, but will occasionally go to another church alone (Orthodox church lately). My mom "blames" my score on the Lutheran church/school I went to for a couple years as a kid, but I wasn't even there for the grades that do catechism/confirmation. Anyway, I know nothing about Moravians and Waldensians, and had a bad time at that Lutheran school, so I was somewhat surprised but she was nearly taken aback (she had a really bad time at that Lutheran church with incessant gossips, shunning by the cradle Lutherans, teachers that never lasted more than a year, and not having a consistent pastor).
I felt like I needed to share these results and story to highlight that this is a fun quiz and can lead to further investigation (like what the heck is a Waldensian), but it is not gospel and should not define you. Reading all of that anecdote (assuming you did) what are your thoughts and comments?
