Red screen / contrast

God give me strength to complete this

i downloaded it the same day it came out and played it the same day, everything up until i got out of the lab was normal, but now i have this red screen no matter what i do , i reinstalled the game, reinstalled steam , checked the files, changed settings , checked every video that could help but im still stuck on this.

I decided to just adapt and go on on but this computer really doesn't want me to play this game and decided to crash every time i try to progress.

i dont even know what the problem is, im pretty sure its the fps which i fixed and it let me progress , i taught that was the end of it but then when i clicked/ red the small frog (?) statue on the left before the cemetery/church or whatever it was i genuinely don't even know at this point the game crashed again.

you know i wouldn't be that pissed if the game didn't cost forty fucking dollars , the worst part is i got it as a gift from my friend and now i feel guilty not being able to play co-op with them.
