9 months, 2.7k users, $120 revenue.

Back In January 2024, I Shipped Convoclip for free. To be honest, I forgot about it. I thought nobody would care.

A few months later, something amazing happened. People started finding it on their own. They were using it. They loved it. I couldn’t believe it.

A year later, I tried to make money from it. Setting up my Stripe account was a struggle. I doubted myself. I thought maybe I had wasted my time. But two months later, I got my first sale. I was jumping like a kid. That $9 felt huge.

Since then, I made $120. All from people finding it naturally. No ads. No community. No “building in public.” (Yes I know, too many mistakes, but this is how I learned.) I tried different prices, redesigned pages, wrote blogs, added features… all while learning the hard way.

What I should have done differently:

  • Started sharing my journey from day one. It would have saved me so much time.
  • Focused on marketing, not just making new features.
  • Paid more attention to SEO, it’s way stronger than I thought.

Now, I just launched a new project, Spotyblogs. This time, I’m sticking to what worked and fixing what didn’t.

That first $ online is why I’m still going. Why I keep trying. And one day, it will be the reason I quit my 9–5.
