Parental Threat of Eviction

I live with my parents who have been abusive since I was 11. It’s not just yelling — it’s a mix of: • Verbal degradation (“half-assing since birth”) • Psychological abuse (mocking, gaslighting, blaming me for everything) • Threats (leash dragging, burning my things, siccing dogs on me) • Financial exploitation (I care for 9 dogs daily, unpaid, while they profit from breeding) • Isolation (kept me from driving, friends, outside help) • Sabotage (I flunked college and lost jobs under the constant stress)

Now they’re threatening to lock me out of the house if I go to a concert I already paid for. I’m scared, trapped, and exhausted.

Are there hotlines or shelters for adult children in abusive homes, not just spouses?
