The Darkners turning into stone and (mini-theory) Ralsei's true purpose

SpoilerTheory

Ok, i've been thinking about a few stuff, namely, the darkners petrifying since chapter 2, and in my quest to find an answer, i made this theory, that attempts to explain just that:

But, if you want to listen to this theory as a podcast instead, here's the link to the youtube video here , if you like this theory, regardless of whether you read/heard it, kindly subscribe to my channel.

Ps: the aim of this theory/discussion, for me, is not to be 100% correct, even if i might not get it right, i hope that this will lead others to think about the criteria and find the actual answer

RECAP:

to recollect, in chapter2, we are introduced to the concept of darkners getting petrified in world where they don't belong, the most impactful example being Lancer, followed by Rouxls, who still has his head unpetrified during the normal routes.

This is followed up in chapter 3, where Ramb, who gets fully petrified if we don't do the quest and half of his face remains unpetrified if we do the quest (he seems to turn to full stone off screen, or maybe even unpetrify and move away, but that's never shown)

Then, in chapter 4, a LOT of enemies shift between being petrified and unpetrified between the 3 seperate dark worlds, although, no major character is impacted by this.

THEORY STARTS

So, this theory is an attempt to explain the criteria under which darkners turn to stone, well, other than during the Roaring.

First, in chapter 2, from the way Ralsei states it, makes it sound like the criteria is inheritly linked to the dark fountain, which makes sense, since the fountains shape the dark world. Although, this is presented as only applying to darkners from other dark worls, as we see later, however, this isn't the case, but it does seem like it is more common for a darkner to turn to stone, if they aren't from that dark world.

We also know from chapter4, that dark world, and what darkners can live in them without turning to stone, depends on who makes the dark fountain, because the first santuary, presumably made by the Knight, is VERY diffrent from the Second Santuary, which is, of course, made by Susie. This, to me, implies that the will of the person who made the dark fountain is the determining factor in how the dark world is shaped, this is, again, obvious, from other sources, but i feel like this example is most relevent for this theory.

So, who creates the dark fountain determines the dark world's nature and purpose, so, to connect this to darkners turning to stone, we have to connect this to the Dark World whose purpose is the most clear; Chapter3's TV World.

Chapter 3's TV World, made by Kris, has the most clear purpose. Technically, so does the second santuary, but Susie doesn't do it for the purpose that she says she does, her main motivation being, to meet her Gerson once again, and, despite what it might look like, the Knight's intentions with making the Dark worlds, all things considered, doesn't present a clear motive, or at least, clear enough for this analysis.

So, what's the purpose of the TV World? Well, Tenna, before his boss fight, explains that Kris made a deal with him, to stall the Delta Warriors. So, stalling the warriors is the purpose of the fountain, and as such, the TV World, and all the darkners inside of it, are given special abilites to ensure that, namely, the video game sections, meant to have the warriors explore and take their time, even insentivising them to find secrets in return for ranks, which by extention, give them more facities. Tenna also gets an ability to ensure this, namely, being able to teleport the warriors to where ever he wants, in order to keep them entertained, and even trapping them, if they don't comply. The point i'm making here is that, not only does the dark world give a purpose to darkners, it also gives them the means they need to fulfill the role.

So, going off of this, let's see the character that gets petrified in the TV World, Ramb. It's implied that he didn't fit in the world to begin with, as stated by a pippins, when he turns to stone. But it seems like working for Tenna, and trying to keep Toriel asleep was enough that the fountain to decide that he was aligned with it's purpose, and as such, he is not turned to stone, he only turns to stone after he quits said job (we see this during Tenna's breakdown)........ But, why? Why then, does he still remain partially unpetrified, if we do the sword route? For that matter, why does ANY darkner, who we recruit, not turn to stone the moment we recruit them, aren't they defying the fountain's will by siding with the warriors?

Well, the answer to that is given by Ralsei, all the way in chapter 1, where he states that a darkner's purpose is to help Lightners. As such, since, by siding with the warriors, our recruits are helping us (or well, at least, entering a contract in a way, saying that they will help us, if the need arrives, so, think, cases like, fixing Tenna, fighting Queen, saving Jackenstien, etc...) This also explains Ramb's case, since he is technically helping Kris (or rather, us, the soul, but it still counts, since we are physically a part of Kris), and since Kris made the dark world, it gives him enough purpose to not turn to stone, at least, completely. Also, to those wondering, the darkners we don't recruit, simply continue on with their normal purpose, so, they don't turn to stone either. Also, also, Rouxls doesn't turn to stone in chapter 3, because his purpose aligns with Kris's, stall the warriors (interestingly though, this implies that the knight's will is not simply to stall or defeat the warriors, since Rouxls turns to stone in the Cyber world). In chapter 2, Lancer turns to stone, likely because, one, he isn't from the world and the affects of getting turned to stone seems more common in such cases, and even if he was, he helps the warriors, going against the knight's will (my idea for why this doesn't affect the recruits from cyber world, is because, since they ARE from that world, the rules are less harsh on them). In chapter 3, if i recall correctly, Lancer doesn't turn to stone, atleast to my memory, the explanation, i guess would be that Kris cares for him, enough that he gets a free pass.

So, to summarize, a darkner turns to stone if:

They go up against the will of their world's creator (although, if they directly align themselves with a Lightner/Lightners, they are spared)

If the Darkner isn't originally from that specific Dark World, this rule applies more strictly, even aliging themsrlves with a Lightner not being enough to keep them from turning to stone.

note: this might explain why so many darkners are petrified in Chapter 4, in first santuary, many of them have knowledge of the prophecy, so, they tried to align themselves with the heroes, obviously, the Knight's fountain didn't like that, so, they turned to stone. In the second santuary, Susie, didn't want to fight anyone, so, the will decided to not un-stone the 1st santuary enemies, but since the 2nd santuary enemies decided to align themselves with the heroes, the fountain made by Susie, one of the heroes, unstoned them (They do attack us, but, if i recall, the explanation is that they thought we were the knight) then, in the 3rd santuary, as we see, there isn't too much about the prophecy, that mentions the heroes or the knight, so, the darkners don't align themselves one way or the other, and as such, no one is turned to stone in the 3rd santuary.
