Losst
I miss you
I miss the times we were together in a way the human mind isn't meant to comprehend
I miss our road trips to the snow with my daughter
I miss my mothers late night check-ins turned to alcoholic induced philosophical conversations over a rolling rock
I miss life lessons with dad over a Volkswagen bug that I no longer own
nights under a porch lamp, or dragging you fuckers out of a bar
I miss our breakfasts together
I miss your symphonic laughter as we fail together
I miss being understood
I miss the unadulterated faith you two had in me
I miss you watching my daughter as I worked
I miss coming home to Ryans Hope DVDs stuck into my playstation
I miss all of our fights knowing full well we had each other's best interest at heart
I miss knowing no matter what, only death would ever keep us apart
I talk to you two still on a daily basis as we live together
only as a collection of us in a different form
you two set together after life as you did during it
even after divorce you were always together
I remember I got my sense of the human condition from you both
now that you are both gone I cant lie
I'm searching for that and I am lost
I know I'm lost without you both
and the best part is I don't care to be found
