PET scan and Graves with TED

I have a couple of small lung cancer spots. The doctors want to do an iodine contrast PET to see if it has spread to my lymph nodes.

I have read that the contrast solution can cause worsening TED and/or thyroid storm.

Has anyone with Graves and TED had to get a PET? Any issues? Any alternatives?
