Conflicting Messaging on Rorschach
howdy y'all ! I finished watchmen a couple of weeks ago, and enjoyed it so much. I've been bothered by one thing though. It is clear that we are not supposed to idolize or see Rorschach as a great guy, but I felt as though that messaging got a bit strange towards the end of the story. His team up with Nite Owl, him dying for his morals, and his journal potentially being responsible for breaking the story, all felt like they were pushing him as a heroic figure. I'm finding it hard to reconcile his intended purpose as a criticism of moralism when the end of the story seems to paint him as a good guy. I think I'm missing some understanding here so if anyone would share their thoughts I would appreciate it
