Just can’t see a logical reason to stick around
So, I don’t consider myself suicidal, even if it’s something I think about and consider at least once a week. But this morning it’s on my mind heavy.
I just don’t even see a logical reason to keep fighting. Especially the direction the world is heading, it’s apparent to me I’m going to spend my life slaving away at multiple jobs to barely afford basic necessities until I keel over and die one day. What exactly am I busting my ass for? A few, fleeting moments of happiness? Is that really worth decades of misery and exhaustion? I’m never bringing children onto this earth, it’s not like I’ll have them to stick around for, I just really can’t see the point anymore. I’ve heard “it’ll get better” since I was a teen, now in my mid 20s nothing has gotten any better, just worse, and just seems like it’s going to continue to get worse.
If anyone can provide a practical, logical reason to stay alive in today’s world maybe I’ll change my mind.
