Is it worth it to quit

Context: im 21. I started smoking everyday / mutiple times a day in 2022. I have stopped for almost a year before starting again. Now i haven’t been a day sober since 2023. I usually smoke atleast 3 bowls in a row and if im not working i could sit there all day long. I don’t even get high anymore it’s just a habit. I know the withdrawals are crazy for me so that doesn’t help. I’m basically smoking just to avoid them if you think about it..

The thing is, for the year I was sober I missed it everyday.

I know that i should quit because being an addict is awful. I still get my work done and i have my things together but i guess it’s blocking many opportunities for me. I feel that i have to get sober for other people to like me. But i feel so much more like myself when i smoke. (I can finally go out and live my life without caring about other people perceiving me and i’m less shy. I just live without always thinking.) The only reason to quit is because it’s not truly accepted by society.. i wish people would see it as smoking a cig because i dont feel like it’s really a drug when you dont get high anymore lol

I don’t wanna go through all this pain to be sober just to fall back into it.

I’ve also tried smoking just once a day for a few months and it was a okay. The thing is it felt kinda worse because i would get high then.
