Requesting to change dorms

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there was anyone who had experience with requesting a dorm switch as an exchange student. My lab is on the Aobayama campus but after moving in on Friday, I realized it is an unlivable place especially with the fact that there is no restaurant/grocery besides the konbini. The cafeterias are also closed on the weekends.
