My first lucid dream
I am pretty new to the world of lucid dreaming, but for the second time it worked!
I am pretty new to the world of lucid dreaming, but for the second time, it worked!
The first time I tried MILD without WBTB, and it didn't work. I did reality checks all day on the second day, then tried MILD again. I woke up at 3 AM without much memory of dreams that night, but decided that because I was already awake, why not try WILD? I read about the technique for about half an hour, then went back to my bed. I lay on my back and mantra-ed "I will lucid dream tonight."
After about 10–30 minutes—I don't really know—I felt that I was anchored to my bed, and sleep paralysis started. I thought before that it would be scary, but it was actually fun. I felt and saw that I was on a roller coaster and felt my heart rate going very high. I tried to slow it while half-knowing that it was a dream. It lasted for like 30 seconds.
After that, I felt that I could move if I really wanted to, but waited for like 3 minutes. Then I did a reality check. I was awake, but closed my eyes and continued on my side. After like 10 minutes, I dropped into a dream where I was trying to call my friend on my phone while in bed. Then I realized that I couldn't move, so I woke up.
But I didn't give up! After a few minutes, I felt that I was weightless, then I saw myself in a courtroom, talking to the jury. I don't remember what I said because it lasted for like 10 seconds, just like my previous dream. I tried for a while, but I was too awake to try again and stopped for today. I got up and wrote everything in my journal, then went back to sleep.
Is this a good start?
