what would be the best pursuit method in motorcycle chases?

Just saw a man on instagram, on a stolen bike die from trying to escape the police and every time I see this I’m like “this is why chasing bikers is stupid” but also being on a motorcycle shouldn’t free you from being accountable, so is there even a good option?

Yes the rider makes their own decisions and its their own fault if they end up dying in a the chase, but I just can’t wrap my head around chasing someone to death because they stole a $5k bike. Since our governments like surveillance so much, why not pursue non violent criminals with small drones? They can keep up easily and not having a trail of cops behind you would maybe keep the rider from killing themselves and/or someone else, also much safer for the public to no have police cars trying to keep up. Then again, riders could think theyre being chased when they really aren’t so they might also lead to unnecessary fatalities

I personally hate the thought of flying security cameras but if they’re gonna exist at all then they should be used with an actual purpose not just for more mass surveillance

there could be better ways but im high and my mind is just full of drones rn so any thoughts?
