What's your favorite Gen as a whole package?

I mean including all media for that Gen. For example, Gen 2 had the games, but it also had the anime (The Johto Journeys, Johto League Champions, and Master Quest), the 3rd and 4th movies, and specials like "Pikachu's Winter Vacation" and "The Legend of Thunder!".

All together Gen 2 is my favorite so far, but I haven't experienced every Gen yet. Do you have a favorite?
