Parking for Zach Bryan at Michigan Stadium (Ann Arbor 09/27)
hey everyone, figured i'd share some parking advice for the zach bryan show at the big house. getting in and out of there for a huge event can be a nightmare if you don't have a plan. traffic is going to be insane, probably even worse than a football game.
honestly the best move is using an app like prked. you can rent a local's driveway or garage right next to michigan stadium. it's usually way cheaper than the huge lots, you get a guaranteed spot, and you can park in a neighborhood that lets you skip a lot of the post-show traffic chaos. it's a short walk and just so much easier.
if you don't do that, here are the other options.
the official university lots close to the stadium are mostly for permit holders, so getting a spot can be tough. if you can buy a pass in advance online, do it.
the biggest and most popular lots are the ann arbor golf and outing club and pioneer high school, which is right across the street. these are huge and a solid option but they will fill up hours before the show, so you have to get there super early. expect to pay a decent amount for these.
you can also try parking in one of the downtown ann arbor garages. they are cheaper but it's a bit of a walk, maybe 20-30 minutes to the stadium. some might have shuttles but walking is pretty common.
i would not try to find street parking. the city has on-street parking restrictions for stadium events from 8 a.m. until midnight on the day of the concert and they do tow cars. it's just not worth the risk.
a few other things to know – they close a bunch of roads around the stadium several hours before the event, including parts of main street and stadium blvd. after the show, main street will be one-way heading south to get people to I-94, so plan your route out accordingly. if you're taking an uber or lyft, they'll have to drop you off a few blocks away and you'll have to walk in. getting one after the show is really tough, you’ll have to walk a good distance away from the stadium to find a spot where they can even get to you.
no matter what you do, get there early, be patient, and have a plan.
hope this helps, it's going to be an awesome show
