After Replacing My ASUS Laptop Battery, CPU No Longer Reaches Full Clock Speed

I recently replaced the battery in my ASUS laptop, and since then I've noticed that my CPU isn't reaching its full clock speed anymore. It's stuck at a much lower frequency, even under load. Before the battery swap, everything was running fine.
