The New Game Plus requirements are atrociously implemented.

In case you missed it in the menu, if you're playing NG+ and want a different ending, DO NOT EAT ANY OF THE RED PILLS!

If you eat even 1 red pill you are locked out of every other ending NG+ has to offer other than the UFO ending.
I did it without knowing and saved over my previous file which is incentivized because the previous playthrough's playtime actively carries over, but now there's no way to restart NG+ at all.

The only way to start a NG+ playthrough is to load up a previously finished save. You can't do it from the New Game option like other titles.

I hope this is something they can patch out or make more apparent because the fact that you can lock yourself out of every other ending within the first 15 minutes of a NG+ Playthrough is straight up terrible game design.
