This (I think neon) pothos propagation has been doing really well until a couple of weeks ago when I started noticing these little spots spreading over the leaves. Some of the leaves only have a few spots but they seem to be climbing up the plant because old growth has significantly more spots. It’s been tough for me to recognize them until the leaf is totally covered bc a lot of the spots just look like a slightly thinner piece of leaf but don’t initially look brown or dried.

Since I noticed these I repotted into a larger pot bc it was getting root bound and applied systemic granules in the process. I also applied & wiped off a spray with water, Castile, neem, & alcohol a couple times since noticing these spots. The plant lives in my bedroom next to a south facing window & there are some trees outside so I have a normal (very bright, just not an actual grow light) lamp on a timer pointed towards the pothos while I’m at work to supplement the lighting. Considering how quickly it’s been growing compared to my living room plants, I think it really likes the setup & would thrive if only I could stop these spots in their tracks.

I’m trying to just generally treat for pests since I really can’t tell what might be causing this… from my research it seems like it could be thrips, spider mites, or scale, but I’m really not sure. The only evidence of bugs I can find besides the spots are some really tiny black/dark brown dots on the back of some of the leaves that look like specs of soil but could be the things causing this potentially. Any insight would be much appreciated!

Any idea what’s causing these spots on my neon pothos?
