Movies like Re-animator

so i watched it today and im so in love, i think what i really like about it is the 80s style, the crappy gore, kind of a sci-fi motive and queer coding between the main characters. If someone has a movie suggestion close to what i described or the movie i'd be grateful (also something like a mystery or crime motive instead of sci-fi would be equally as good)
