Painfully clunky title

I haven't seen the film yet -- obv love the book -- but does anybody else find that title, "One Battle After Another," super awkward and lame? Any insights as to why a savvy director would choose or sign off on such a stinker? Seems especially weird when treating the work of the ultimate wordsmith of the universe.
