Costa Rica - La Fortuna with 10 month old

My husband and I will be taking our 10 month old to La Fortuna at the end of October. Will be flying into SJO, renting a car and staying at Nayara Gardens for four nights. The hotel grounds look beautiful so we plan to spend a lot of time relaxing there, but we’re looking for other good baby, friendly activities to do.

Things we enjoy - hiking and local cooking classes. We really want to see the wildlife like monkeys and sloth. We’re wondering if a guided nature tour is worth it and if so, does anyone have any suggestions? We’re also looking for local cooking, perhaps something short like a chocolate making class at the baby can attend with us. We tend to look for small family owned > large and touristy. Lastly, if anyone has any good baby friendly restaurants we’d love any suggestions.
