Oticon Intent 1 Demo

Hey yall. I’ve been demoing the oticon intent 1 for the last week (first hearing aid I’ve ever tried). I have classic high frequency hearing loss. I’ve heard that these hearing aids are especially good for high frequency loss but I’ve been really disappointed in the sound quality or maybe it’s the delay in the sound processed through the hearing aid. Everyone sounds like they are talking through a fan and it’s a hard to engage normally in conversation because I’m so distracted by it. Is this just part of the adjustment phase for my brain or are these hearing aids just not for me?

My audiologist said that some adjustments can be made but it’s really how my brain perceives the sounds. That being said, I’m planning to try out the phonak Infinio i90 sphere next and see if that pleases my brain more.
