Is private mediation the right choice?

Sitting here thinking ex has been ambicale for the most part outside of communication has shut down she is living her own life. I live my own life. She refused the initial seperation agreement. I still have to take a few days off to go to private mediation similar to going to mediation at the Court.

I don't know why. Find going to Court a pain. Have to schedule day off or two in advance to go. Have to go to a notary before going. Have all forms filled out. Have no phone so if need to make corrections I can't look it up. May take two days. Involves the Sheriff's serving my ex. Have to go to two locations due to filing for two different areas custody and Asssests. Don't get me started with finding and paying for parking. Then it could take up to 90 days. Average is about 60 days till get a mediation hearing. Mediation hearing is 3 meetings then set up with a Court date.

I haven't asked my ex yet about private mediation. Not sure how to even go about asking her. We could split the cost. They can file custody, assets, and divorce for us.
