Game speed doesnt work

In this world increasing the speed to 2x or 4x doesnt do anything, and I cant figure out why.

My guess is either mods or simply the size of the world since it only happens on this world.

Its a megalomaniac map, but by size I mean the size of the towns and amount of things I have built.
