Congress question related to a shutdown

If there a isn't a stopgap passed, and government shuts down, will Members of Congress continue to get paid? Will their staff?

Is there any part of government that will get paid? Military?

If the utility companies aren't receiving payments, wht cant they turn off the power and water to all government buildings?

If military suppliers arent paid, why will they continue to supply things, fuel, food, anything?

Is anyone not afraid to play hardball?

What am I missing?
