Hey, anyone else Lesbian/demisexual?
Hi, I constantly see through Lesbian media (whether that be film, blogs, reddit, or otherwise) an almost oversexualisation in regards to Lesbian culture- and not just from straight white male culture, but also from fellow Lesbians.
I've gone to lesbian bars where lesbian porn is played on screen, seen lesbian drag shows where there is a great emphasis on sex,and he'll, every time I see a post on this forum it's usually about the subjects face being squished between a fellow lesbians thighs.
JUST TO BE CLEAR- this isn't a bad thing, and I am not shaming the hypersexualisation that other Lesbian women have, but I find that I do not want to be squashed within anyone's thighs until I at least know the person first, had coffee with them, seen them when they let their guard down, etc. Like, I can see the most gorgeous woman at a lesbian strip show and absolutely feel nothing because 'I don't know her... why would I feel any attraction?' Like, I have never had a celebrity crush in my life due to this.
But then in another scenario if a woman is kind to me and goes out of their way to do something of that essence for me, it's like a light switch is turned on, a spotlight placed upon said woman, and I think 'Wow, she is absolutely gorgeous.'
Does anyone else in the community feel this way? I also feel disconnected in the queer community due to this. I don't want to instantly fuck someone as soon as I lay eyes on them, I want to get to know them, then start pebbling gifts to them before fully romancing them. Just wondering if anyone on here has similar thoughts- love to hear from fellow Lesbian/demisexuals. Thanks.
