Would you want to know what went wrong?

I am friends with an ex fling from when we were 23yrs old. It was long distance (Trans-Atlantic before FaceTime was a thing) and we were babies- the whole thing only lasted a couple months!

We remained friends over the last 18 years, swapping messages two-three times a year. We wish each other nothing but good vibes and I can hand on heart say there are no residual feelings for either of us!

Recently he messaged me some birthday wishes and photos he found from our last night out together in 2007. I made a joke about how 23yr old me was such a mess and he was curious why I thought that. He has now set up a calendar invite for us to FaceTime and dissect 2007!

My question is- would you want to know where your 20 something self was going wrong in relationships?
