My grandma out here stereotyping the Chinese taste buds

Today, my grandma shipped me some of our local food and I called her after to tell her I received it.

She sent so much and since some had a short shelf life, she said I could share some with my friends and this is how the call ended:

"You can let your friends try, but the Chinese cannot handle spice."???

You don't know that, everyone has different taste buds, just like how she don't like foreign cuisines or even eat spicy food herself. And personally, most people around me has a higher spice tolerance than I do, with ofc, a handful that aren't good with it.

She's born and lived majority of her life in a country where Chinese are 1-2% of the population and I live in a country where the Chinese population is 75% so idk which person she's talking to.

And I'm always like you can't say these things, and she thinks I'm talking back.
